Not the newest news but maybe some of you haven’t had the chance to listen to Steven Soderbergh’s talk he gave at the San Francisco International Film Festival. If you’re wondering what this is about, the title says it all. Personally, I found it a very good talk because it’s somehow encouraging to see that an accomplished filmmaker notices all the problems with Hollywood. And in case you didn’t know, something IS really wrong with the studio system. I mean, especially if Mr. Soderbergh can prove that even a rodent is smarter than the studios when choosing what picture will get made.
